RIVERBANK STABILIZATION

The Historic Licking Riverside Civic Association is working to get City support to complete Phase 2 of the Riverside Drive/Ohio Riverbank Stabilization work and to define a plan for stabilization of the Licking Riverbank (Phase 3).  Phase 1 was completed 10 years ago, from the east side of the “Mike Fink” parking lot to Kennedy Street.  Phase 2 runs from Kennedy Street to the Confluence of the Ohio and Licking Rivers, “The Point”. Phase 3 runs from Shelby Street to 8th Street along the Licking.

The Army Corps of Engineers completed a study of the issue in 2021, paid for by money raised by Southbank. You can access the study here: LINK Note that there are 7 files in this folder.
